African American Leader The purpose of the final paper is to connect one, or more, of the various theories/ perspectives/ frameworks on leadership to an African American leader. Students should select a biography or autobiography of someone in a leadership position and conduct an analysis of the selected leader’s characteristics/ approach/ etc. Within the paper you should write a summary of the selected leader’s achievements. Additionally, make sure to focus specifically on the various aspects of the leader – e.g., style/ approach/ behaviors/ traits/ relationship to followers/ etc. Moreover, students should also use at least two additional outside sources, preferably academic articles, within their discussion and evaluation. You are expected to use cited work in your description, argument, and analysis. The final paper should be no less than 8 pages. Papers should be double-spaced, with a standard 12-point font.
